We will be at FloorForum 2010

It has been sometime since we wrote to our blog, but we are back with wonderful news.

Each year in January, the carpet world experiences one of its most exciting events at Hannover, Germany: Domotex Hannover. bringing together the most recent collections and trends about the flooring world, Domotex turned in time to mostly a carpet and rug show.

Carpetus has been following the fair since our initial years, and opened a stand at Hall 2 last year.

Being at Domotex as an exhibitor was one of the most enriching and fruitful experiences we have ever had as Carpetus. Therefore, we wanted to participate again this year.

With one major difference: This year Carpetus will be among the select few brands that will have the chance to exhibit at the FloorForum area in Hall 3. We are very excited and are working very hard to present our best at this inspiring place.

You can visit us at Hall 3 Stand A56, right across the FloorForum Plaza.

We also have a suprize collection that will challenge the traditional understanding of area rugs, and you can also see that in the FloorForum Plaza and our stand.

Why Buying a Carpet is Beneficial in the Financial Crisis?

The financial crises we are going through led many consumers, maybe including us, to step back from spending or at least move towards less costly goods.

Consumers may have postponed their plans to buy new carpets and to make decoration changes.

However, we think that buying a carpet is quite beneficial in a crisis. And this is why:

1) During crisis such as this one, we start spending more time in our homes. A small change, such as the change of carpet, can make you feel much happier at home where you spend so much of your time.

2) A single carpet is enough to change the whole atmosphere in the room. You will not need to spend so much money on other decorational items :)

3) The concept of a carpet is so wide now that you will definitely find something in the market that fits your needs and desires.

4) In a crisis, a long term investment is a good investment. Your carpet will be with you for many years, at least until you get bored of it ;)

5) Our primary concern for the future, even more than the financial crisis, is climate change. Did you know that using a carpet is one of the ways to slow down global warming? Carpets are good insulators. They will decrease the energy you use to stay calm in winter and stay cool during the summers.

We have worked long hours for it, but the brand new Carpetus site ( www.carpetus.com ) is finally up and running. We wanted our website to reflect the dynamism, youth and simplicity in taste that Carpetus is.

IMM Cologne Fair: Where design happens!

Right after the Domotex Hannover Fair, Carpetus participated in the IMM Cologne Furnishing Fair, this time with a new brand, NOT Carpet, and a novel idea, "Multiplay"

With its interchangable pieces "Multiplay" is NOT only one carpet. It brings you the change and dynamism that today's world demands.

You can see our designer, Tamer Nakışçı, displaying his brillant new idea to the design world in the Designspotter area in the IMM Cologne Fair.

Exhibiting at Domotex Hannover: What a delight!

Carpetus was a first time exhibitor at Domotex Hannover Fair this year. Think about the excitement :)

We have exhibited with our partner organization, Teppich de Orienta, of India, with which we have strong business and friendship relations. We thank them for sharing the knowledge they accumulated over the many years they have exhibited at Domotex and making the experience so much more enjoyable.

Above you can see pictures of us during the preparations and the fair. We had a lot of work and a lot of fun at the same time. We have learnt a lot, saw a lot, and confirmed the place that Carpetus has in the international business market. We have also made many international friends which was the most important part of the fair.

The fair was less crowded than the previous years, a notion acknowleged by many other firms, yet the business was similar to previous years.

We are very much willing to be a part of the Domotex Hannover 2010 experience next year.

World of Carpetus now in English

After Carpetus' successful and delightful exhibition at the Domotex Hannover and IMM Cologne Fairs last week (details in upcoming posts), we felt the necessity to transform one of our blog sites to English, so that we can also communicate with our international friends more often. The posts in this blog from now on will be in English and we will appreciate all and every input from you - also to post in this blog. Carpetus tasarımlarını uluslararası arenaya taşıyor. 17-20 Ocak 2009 tarihleri arasında Domotex Hannover Zemin Kaplamaları Fuarı'nda 2. holde C14/1 no'lu standda ürünlerimizi sergileyeceğiz.

Ayrıca mobilya sektörünün en önemli fuarlarından IMM Cologne Fuarı'nda, 19-25 Ocak 2009 tarihlerinde, Designspotter alanında Tamer Nakışçı ile oluşturduğumuz halı konusundaki anlayışı derinden etkileyecek yeni bir projeyi sergileyeceğiz.
